Dec. 9 to Dec. 13

Here is our learning for the week of Dec. 9:

Math:
- continued with subtraction
- solved some problems where we had to organize our work
- solved some problems where we had to use our answer from the previous question to answer the next question

Social Studies:
- every group is now working on their presentation
- each group has chosen to create a Google Slides presentation

A Long Walk to Water:
- we finished the story!
- it had a surprise ending!
- we watched Salva's TED talk and Linda Sue Park's TED talk

Winter Market:
- we had the market last night and the school raised over $1700 to help support families and people in need. Thank you to everyone who came and donated!

French:
- the grade 4s played French Bingo with colours, numbers and phrases

Gym:
- we have continued with curling. We are much better at aiming now!

Music:
- we finished watching Mary Poppins and now we are watching The NutCracker and sketching while we watch

Goodwill Donations:
- our team won the competition for the most canned food collected!

Art:
- we used watercolour paints to create a winter outdoor scene

REMINDERS:
- return all library books
- next week is the last week of school before winter break
- Last day of school is Thursday, Dec. 19
- our report cards will go home on Wednesday, Dec. 18
- next week we will be collecting boxed and bagged food to donate
